Privacy

The short version: your case is never stored by us, we keep no financial details, and what we do keep is small and named below — an email you chose to give us, and an anonymous record of a purchase so your unlock keeps working.

What we deliberately do NOT collect

This matters more than the list of what we do collect, so it goes first. When you use the property worksheet:

If you want to keep your work between visits, you download a case file to your own device. That file is yours; we never receive a copy.

What we do collect

Your email address, only if you give it to us

If you join the launch list, we store your email address and the time you signed up. We use it for exactly one thing: telling you the product is available. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone. You can have it deleted at any time by emailing support@seeyoursplit.com, and every launch email will include a way to unsubscribe.

Documents you choose to upload

The worksheet can read figures out of a statement or an appraisal you upload. The document is processed by a third-party AI provider, the figures come back to your browser, and you confirm them before they count.

Nothing you upload is ever used to train any AI model. We keep nothing either: not the document, not what was extracted from it. Our provider deletes it automatically within days.

Uploading is always optional. Every figure can be typed by hand instead.

Things stored in your own browser

We use your browser’s local storage (not cookies) to remember your licence after a purchase, and session storage to keep your worksheet through a reload and to hand a case file from one page to another. Your worksheet data is never transmitted for storage and clearing your browser data removes all of it. The licence itself accompanies your requests so the server knows the calculation is paid for — it identifies the purchase, not you.

Payment details and purchase records

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy.

When a purchase completes, we keep a minimal record of the purchase itself: the unlock code we issued, what it bought, and Stripe’s reference for the payment — no name, no email, and nothing about your case. When you download a paid document, we record that a download of that kind happened and which purchase it belonged to, with a timestamp. These records exist to recover lost codes and to administer the refund policy fairly, and for nothing else.

The professional interest form

If you ask us about the done-for-you service on the professionals page, we store what you submit — your email, the role you picked, and anything you write in the note — for exactly one purpose: replying to that enquiry. Deleted on request, like everything else.

Your purchase receipt

When you buy, we send one email to the address you gave Stripe at checkout: your receipt and your unlock code, so the code survives closing the tab. That address comes from Stripe and is passed to our email provider to send the message — we do not store it. Our own record of the purchase stays anonymous, as described above.

Feedback you send us

If you were invited to try the product early and used the feedback page, whatever you recorded or typed there is stored privately so we can act on it. Recording happens on your own device and nothing is sent until you press send. Ask us and it’s deleted.

Basic server logs

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard operational logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp, browser type) for security and reliability. These are not used to build a profile of you.

Who processes data for us

That is the current list. If we add a processor — for example a tool that measures which of our ads led to a visit — this page will be updated to name it.

Your California privacy rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold about them, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

In practice, the personal information we hold is limited to email addresses you chose to give us (the launch list, or a professional enquiry with whatever you wrote in it) and anonymous purchase records that identify a payment, not a person. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email support@seeyoursplit.com and we will respond within 45 days.

Children

This service is for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security, honestly stated

Keeping almost nothing is our main security measure: there is no store of case details to breach. The launch-list addresses, professional enquiries and purchase records are held in private storage that is not publicly readable. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and, where the change affects information we already hold, tell the people it affects.
